De’Aaron Fox Unveils Under Armour Fox 3 At Baltimore HQ

Sneaker News is on location at Under Armour’s Baltimore headquarters, where we’ve gotten a first look at the Under Armour Fox 3, the third signature sneaker of San Antonio Spurs star De’Aaron Fox.

Even before any tech was solidified, the UA Fox 3 loomed as a significant step in the point guard’s signature line. His first two came under the Curry Brand umbrella, but with the separation from#30 (now with Li-Ning), De’Aaron’s latest becomes the tentpole of the Baltimore’s brand’s hoop offerings, now with the title to match.

First unveiled during the 2026 NBA playoffs, the Curry Fox 3 makes its biggest step by sectioning its sole unit, though still maintains the Flow foundation from its predecessor. For the Spurs star, the increased, tacky traction that UA’s patented formula provides is a natural fit; immediate stops and starts are still a major building block in his speed-focused playstyle. However, even UA acknowledges that this may not be one-size-fits all. Every colorway of the Fox 3 will come in a rubberized version for outdoors play, though those outdoors versions may lag behind the initial FLOW builds.

At the outset of the process, Under Armour’s design team solicited Fox’s input on what would be “make or break” in his next sig shoe. Keeping a low cut, overall security and containment, bold colors, Flow traction, and notably, reduced overall weight were “must haves.” To that latter point, the Fox 3 is the first in the line-up to come in under a pound, closer to 11.5 oz overall.

Longtime fans of the UA Fox series will note that what had been a defining characteristic in the midfoot strap is removed, an omission that De’Aaron and the team chose to better fit casual wear.

“The first thing, especially with the 1s, was wanting it to look like a running shoe. That’s something that we kept in mind with [the UA Fox 3], as well. That’s where trends are now; most of what people wear reflects some sort of running shoes. Kids don’t do it as much anymore, but growing up, we wore basketball shoes with jeans. Being able to work that in where it’s not a design that’s entirely specific to sports was important to me.” – De’Aaron Fox on the main design priorities he gave to the team. 

Fans in general can look out for the “Gamer,” the one that De’Aaron debuted during the postseason. Already having lend this “Gamer” concept to the 1 and the 2, the 3’s interpretation sees a black/pink gradient midsole, light blue foundation, and black painting the graphic section that mimics a strap.

Further down the line, pairs inspired by his namesake, in the “Future Fox” and “Arctic Fox,” will follow the “Gamer” to market in September. Also included in our preview were “Team Bank” versions handed to all of UA’s sponsored universities, including a black/white that De’Aaron wore during the NBA Finals. Finally, a black/cyber green version will be handed to participants in the Baltimore Next City Classic, taking place on August 15th with De’Aaron and Derik Queen serving as head coaches.

The UA Fox 3 will retail at $125 in adult sizing and at a $100 price point in kids’ sizing. The “Gamer” drops on September 4th, the “Arctic Fox” on the 18th, and the “Future Fox” on October 2nd.
