The SoleFly x Air Jordan 5 has received its latest official preview courtesy of Jordan Brand, with the Miami retailer’s newest collaboration expected to arrive in October.
Featured in Jordan Brand’s latest lookbook alongside the Social Status Jordan 1 Low and the Air Jordan Black Pack, the collaboration takes a dark approach to the Air Jordan 5. Black and Anthracite tones dominate the upper, while Miami-friendly Aurora Green accents appear on details including the tongue Jumpman and midsole. A pre-yellowed, Muslin-tinted translucent outsole adds some contrast underneath, giving a bit of that aged look.
The most interesting change is how the shoes lace up. While the Air Jordan 5’s overall structure remains recognizable, the upper eyelets allow the laces to extend around the ankle before returning to the front. It’s unclear if there are any structural changes to the shoe, but the way the laces wrap around the ankle lends to a boxing shoe look. Combined with the accompanying apparel and the aesthetic of the lookbook, there appears to be a subtle boxing influence at play.
The collaboration continues what has effectively become an annual tradition between SoleFly and Jordan Brand, following last year’s Air Jordan 3 project and what is presumed to be a SoleFly Air Jordan 4 in 2027.
This latest collab by the Miami-based retailer is expected to release during Holiday 2026, with current reports pointing to an October launch and a $225 retail price.
