Anyone wise enough to test out a pair of Saucony Progrid Omni 9s will tell you it’s one of the most comfortable, stylish, and arguably underrated tech runners on offer right now, more niche than the works of ASICS and New Balance, sure, but every bit as good a shoe. While Jae Tips did well to highlight it with his collaborations, the model has since impressed with standout inline series and wonderful one-offs.
New to the Saucony website is this wonderfully autumnal “Naval” colorway, the shipyard nickname coming via the oceanic navy blue mesh on the tongue and forefoot. From there, it’s an all-out frenzy in the best way. The inner lining is done in a rich burgundy, joined elsewhere by green, gold, silver, and more in a rather classy yet exciting multicolor mix.
Not to confine the shoe to one demo, but shoes like these are exactly what come to mind every time a middle aged dad asks what he can wear to look comfortable and cool but not corny. Wear what you wish, as always, but this is an exceptional pick.
