Reebok’s “Birks” Are Actually Good

Reebok has released a new shoe, a slick slip-on model called the Classic Mule. Essentially, the brand designed its own "Birkenstocks."

The uppers are decked out in sumptuous suede layers, while the footbed is also covered in the soft material, coupled with an official Reebok stamp. It's complete with a thin rubber sole, which looks to provide some solid grip.

It's like a Birkenstock Boston clog meets Reebok's classic Club C sneaker.

The Classic Mule is joined by a Classic Slide, basically a suede open-toe sandal which, funny enough, evokes memories of Birkenstock's Kyoto sandal. But it's all done in Reebok fashion, of course.

The sneaker brand continues to make quiet moves with its footwear, whether tapping into the balletcore craze with its own secretly good ballerina sneaker or casually working with luxury brand Celine on its first-ever sneaker collaboration.

Believe it or not, Reebok has designed other nice slippers like its Beatnik Mules and techy sneaker-mules. But this latest effort is even more luxe.

Speaking of which, the Reebok Classic Mule is now up for grabs on its Korean website for 99,000 won, or roughly $71.

It's unclear whether these will be overseas-exclusive. Either way, the brand certainly has a killer slipper on its hands (and feet).
