Shoe Palace and On Reimagine Talavera Tradition with Exclusive Cloudtilt Collaboration

The Cloudtilt “Talavera” collaboration bridges cultural heritage and Swiss engineering through Latine culture’s most recognizable decorative tradition

SAN JOSE — September 29, 2026 — Shoe Palace, the nation’s leading athletic footwear and apparel retailer, and premium Swiss sportswear brand On have come together to introduce the Cloudtilt “Talavera,” an exclusive collaboration celebrating Latine culture through the rich colors, patterns and craftsmanship of traditional Talavera motifs.  

“Talavera motifs are deeply familiar in Latine culture. For many, these iconic ceramics are part of the home, brought out for family gatherings, holidays and celebrations, and often passed down from one generation to the next,” said Ralph Mersho, CEO of Shoe Palace. “We partnered with On with the goal of celebrating that connection through heritage design in a bespoke performance sneaker that feels fresh, wearable and personal.

Inspired by the intricately decorated ceramics found across generations of Hispanic households, the collaboration reimagines Talavera motifs through a contemporary footwear lens. Plates, tiles and vases traditionally brought out for family gatherings, holidays and religious celebrations informed a design that turns a familiar symbol of home and heritage into something made to move forward.

Designed with On’s Cloudtilt silhouette, the collaboration includes two colorways: an Egret base with Quiet Shade gray and vivid Surf the Web blue accents, and a traditional black-and-red. A custom ornamental motif frames the On logo at the quarter, while metallic detailing and a reflective “Swiss Engineering” treatment hint at On’s technical design language. The collaboration is finished with Shoe Palace script branding at the medial heel and co-branded details throughout.

Its custom sockliner brings the Talavera “Sole With A Soul” story from inside the shoe with a vibrant patchwork of tile-inspired patterns in cobalt blue, orange, green, yellow and white. Additional features include dimensional branding designed to recall the materiality of traditional ceramics, including a puffed tongue logo inspired by the glossy finish of tile and a beveled, high-density quarter graphic. The result is intentionally subtle from afar and richly detailed up close.

At its foundation is the Cloudtilt’s signature CloudTec Phase™ cushioning. Developed through On’s signature approach to design and performance engineering, the technology uses Cloud elements that collapse sequentially underfoot, creating a smooth, rolling sensation associated with On’s signature Cloudtilt.

The Shoe Palace x On Cloudtilt Talavera launches nationwide on October 1, exclusively at ShoePalace.com and retails for $170 in Men’s and Women’s styles. It will also launch at 180 Shoe Palace stores across Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Washington. The collaboration is available in size 6-10 in Women’s and 8-13 in Men’s, while supplies last.
