Nike’s “Cheat Day” Vomero Plus Encourages a Lazy Couch Day

Nike is all about commitment to athletics. However, even their best performance models need a break, and the Vomero Plus is diving into a full-on “Cheat Day” this season, coming soon.

Nike’s current line-up of high-end running shoes has found its place in the sneaker world. Models like the Pegasus Premium and Vomero Plus, purpose built to carry you over long distances, have been adopted by sneakerheads thanks to their comfort and all-day wearability. Both models found widespread appeal via the Melitta Baumesiter collaboration this year, and the Pegasus even got a special release from A Ma Maniére this Summer. Later this year, Nike will fully transform their Vomero Plus into a lounge sneaker, simply through the special “Cheat Day” color scheme. Unveiled in their latest edition of SNKRS Verified, the new style takes inspiration from a lazy day on the couch, and the cheese-dusted snacks you’d consume along the way. The silhouette comes in shades of tan and grey, which turn to bright orange at the forefoot, mimicking cheese-covered fingers after indulging in Cheetos, Doritos, or any of your favorite neon orange snacks.

Nike’s latest special style of their Vomero Plus running shoe has scheduled its “Cheat Day” for next week, on August 14th, 2026. This pair is inspired by a lazy day on the couch, indulging in cheese-dusted snacks and taking a break from the workout grind. Pairs will be available through Nike and select retailers for $175.
