Bronny James Heads To South Beach With The Nike LeBron Witness 9

Had this Nike LeBron Witness 9 surfaced before LeBron announced his “final decision” last week, the prediction markets would have gone into a frenzy. With the ink barely dry on LeBron James’ two-year, $8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, Bronny James’ ongoing PE series is progressing with a “South Beach” colorway tied to Miami and his father’s fruitful Floridian tenure.

Bronny James was just five years old when his father took his talents to South Beach, but judging by this PE, it was evidently a chapter worth commemorating. Bronny’s latest LeBron Witness 9 pays homage to the iconic LeBron 8 “South Beach” with an Aurora Green foundation and pink mini Swooshes, the former featuring ornate hidden graphics. Old English “Bronny” text is stitched in white at the top of the toe box, and reappears in debossed fashion on the left tongue. Bronny’s lowercase “b” logo, which recently had its trademark application denied, appears on the heel, suggesting Nike’s legal team has since ironed out the issue.

Bronny remains under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, but with his father now on the opposite coast, speculation has swirled around whether a trade or other contractual maneuvering could be in the works. Regardless, now that we know where the elder James will be suiting up, this “South Beach” shoe should be viewed as nothing more than a tribute to his father’s shoe line.
