Nike Gives The Shox TL A Luxury Leather Makeover

The Nike Shox TL has traveled a long way from its performance running roots in the early-mid 2000s to the casual stalwart it is today.

Originally introduced during the early 2000s as one of Nike Running’s most technologically ambitious silhouettes, the Shox TL has found a second life over the past decade as a lifestyle staple. Its unmistakable full-length Shox columns and futuristic profile have made it a favorite among fashion-forward consumers, a transition further cemented through collaborations with Comme des Garçons and Riccardo Tisci.

Nike is pushing the silhouette even further into lifestyle territory with an upcoming all-black edition with a completely reworked upper, its signature mesh construction and synthetic overlays replaced with an elegant black leather. The transformation gives the Shox TL a far more refined appearance while preserving the aggressive tooling that made the silhouette iconic in the first place.

Branding follows the same minimalist approach via Swoosh-shaped perforations punched directly into the leather panels, creating a subtle detail that complements the monochromatic execution without interrupting the clean aesthetic.

A release date for the leather Nike Shox TL has yet to be announced, but the pair is expected to arrive this Fall season.
