The Flea 1 was first introduced as a new silhouette for Cactus Plant Flea Market and Nike. Its bulky build and unconventional construction quickly made it one of the more recognizable projects from the partnership. While the “Overgrown” version eventually released, the original “Barley” colorway never received a retail launch. Now, Nike and CPFM are preparing to bring it back.

The Nike Flea 1 “Barley” keeps the earthy color palette that made the original pair stand out. Barley covers the upper, while Sail appears on the oversized Swoosh. Desert Moss and Brown Basalt are added throughout the sole and supporting details. The upper features quilted material that gives the shoe a padded appearance, while the bulky sole unit continues the overgrown look associated with the Flea 1.

CPFM also changes the usual Nike branding. A shortened Swoosh appears on the lateral side, while a smaller reverse Swoosh sits closer to the collar. The asymmetrical branding adds another unusual detail to a shoe that already has a distinct shape compared to most Nike lifestyle models.
