BEAMS Applies Camo Prints To The HOKA Bondi 7

Following an initial launch in Japan, the BEAMS x HOKA Bondi 7 is ready to go global. The Japanese menswear/womenswear/housewear/everythingwear brand has teamed up with HOKA for two special editions of the Bondi 7, transforming the max-cushioned runner with head-to-toe camouflage patterns inspired by the landscapes and textures of Japanese Zen gardens. After first releasing through BEAMS in Japan beginning August 7th, both colorways will receive a wider global release on August 14th.

The first pair takes a more traditional approach to camouflage, mixing earthy shades of brown and olive across the upper and midsole. Its counterpart heads in the opposite direction with a wintry combination of white and light grey, giving the familiar military-inspired pattern a considerably softer appearance. Look closely at either design and you’ll find another clever detail: “BEAMS” lettering hidden throughout the camouflage itself.

The collaboration arrives as part of BEAMS’ 50th-anniversary celebrations and represents the Japanese retailer’s first official project with HOKA. Again, find the BEAMS x HOKA Bondi 7 online on August 14th through HOKA.com and select retailers for $170.
